Centre is a new shop located in Day Avenue, Omeo,
bringing together talented local craft, and art
people to showcase their unique handcrafted
products in a community based centre under the
umbrella of Benambra Neighbourhood House.
Run by a team of enthusiastic volunteers in
keeping with the centres community base, the
centre is also the Victorian Information Centre
showcasing local information, tourist brochures
and maps of the region
Located at 69 Sebastopol Hill Rd
Omeo, Omeo's Own "Plants of the High Country" has a
great range of flora on offer. Native trees and
shrubs; standard and bush roses; ground covers;
fruit trees; deciduous trees; garden ornaments;
garden mulch and top soil can be found here.
Omeo's Own also provides garden maintenance
service and rose/fruit tree pruning services.

This beautiful red brick
building has served Omeo as the Central Post and
Telegraph Office since it was constructed in
1891 for the price of £1068.

has approximately 35,000 books in stock.

Originally "Sandy's Store", the
building was opened in 1879 by Joseph Sandy. The
store offered the services of a general
merchant, butcher, baker and licensed gold
buyer.
The store is now "Darby's Store" run by Richard
and Lyn Darby. The store provides fresh fruit
and vegies, cold and frozen goods, fresh bread,
tourist information, maps, local history
literature, fishing and camping gear, DVD hire,
newspapers and magazines; as well as a large
stock of general goods.

The Great Alpine Gallery Inc.
was opened in October 1998 by artists living in
the Omeo and Swifts Creek. The have created an
exhibition venue which displays and sells
locally artwork.
Some of the featured artists include: John
Butler, Deidre Jack, Ann Bingham and Margaret
Lomas.
